Riverside Cemetery was established in 1879 and incorporated in 1903, Riverside is the oldest Cemetery in Fargo-Moorhead. Located in a tranquil wooded setting along the Red River in south Fargo, it is the final resting place of many of the area's most distinguished historic figures, including 1936 presidential candidate William F. Lemke, former North Dakota Governor L.B. Hanna, and legendary Fargo Lawman and state legislator John Haggart. Historically significant and beautifully maintained in all seasons, the cemetery continues to add new sections, making it a perfect choice as a final resting place for Fargo families and others.
